Location: Sutton-in-Ashfield

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing engineering manufacturing business for an experienced CNC Laser & Press Brake Operator. This is an excellent opportunity to join a modern, well-invested production facility where quality, safety and continuous improvement are at the forefront of operations.
The Role
Working as part of a skilled manufacturing team, you will be responsible for operating CNC laser cutting equipment and press brake machinery to produce high-quality components to specification. You will interpret engineering drawings, monitor quality standards and play a key role in ensuring efficient production output.
Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate CNC laser cutting machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Operate CNC press brake equipment to bend and form components to specification.
  • Read and interpret engineering and technical drawings.
  • Load and handle steel materials and raw components.
  • Carry out quality inspections to ensure products meet required standards.
  • Perform routine machine checks and basic preventative maintenance.
  • Identify and report any production or quality issues.
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
  • Work closely with production colleagues to achieve daily targets and deadlines.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • Previous experience operating CNC laser cutting machinery within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience using CNC press brake machinery.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings accurately.
  • Experience handling sheet metal, steel and raw materials.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  • Knowledge of health and safety procedures within a manufacturing setting.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Positive attitude, reliability and a strong work ethic.
