HR Advisor (Temporary – Immediate Start)
Mountsorrel, Leicestershire

Part-time – 30 hours per week
Temporary role with potential to become permanent The Opportunity
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and respected organisation in the construction and infrastructure sector, with a strong track record of delivering complex projects across the UK.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and proactive HR Advisor to join a busy, friendly team on a temporary basis with an immediate start.
This is a varied, hands-on HR role where you will take ownership of the full employee lifecycle and play a key part in supporting both employees and management. Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the first point of contact for employee queries and support managers in resolving employee relations matters
  • Maintain and update HR policies, ensuring legal compliance and consistency across the business
  • Provide expert guidance on employment matters and HR best practice
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment, including advertising, screening, and supporting hiring decisions
  • Prepare offer letters, contracts, and oversee pre-employment checks
  • Coordinate onboarding and induction processes
  • Maintain accurate HR records (including absence, holiday, and leave) using HR systems
  • Support performance management and appraisal processes
  • Produce HR KPI reports and assist with disciplinary and grievance processes
  • Support occupational health coordination and compliance requirements
  • Assist with general HR administration and ad hoc projects
  • Provide occasional support with travel arrangements and internal coordination
About You
  • CIPD Level 5 qualified (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a generalist HR role
  • Confident working independently and managing a broad workload
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage at all levels
  • Comfortable handling sensitive information in line with GDPR
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience with HR systems (e.g. Breathe HR or similar) is desirable
