About the Company
Our client is a successful and well-established organisation seeking to appoint a Financial Accountant to join its finance team.
This opportunity is ideally suited to an ACA or ACCA-qualified accountant looking to build upon their experience within a varied financial accounting role. Whether you’re making your first move from practice or looking to take the next step in your industry career, you’ll work closely with senior finance leaders across a broad range of accounting, reporting and compliance activities.
The Role
Reporting into senior finance leadership, you will play a key role in delivering accurate financial information, maintaining strong financial controls and supporting statutory and regulatory requirements. This is a broad role that offers a mix of technical accounting, financial reporting and business-facing responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of monthly financial reporting.
- Support the preparation and review of statutory accounts.
- Liaise with external auditors and assist with the year-end audit process.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and maintain supporting schedules.
- Support technical accounting projects and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards.
- Assist with the preparation of financial information and reporting packs for senior stakeholders.
- Work closely with colleagues across the business to resolve accounting queries and provide financial insight.
- Support tax, compliance and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, controls and reporting.
- Contribute to finance projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
About You
- ACA or ACCA qualified.
- Practice-trained background preferred.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proactive, organised and keen to develop professionally.
- Strong Excel and analytical skills.
- Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
