The Role
You’ll take ownership of core finance processes and deliver timely, accurate numbers and insight, including:
- Producing monthly management accounts and performance reporting
- Balance sheet oversight, reconciliations, and month-end close support
- Supporting budgeting / forecasting and variance analysis
- Working closely with stakeholders across the business to improve reporting and controls
- Payroll knowledge (hands-on involvement / oversight)
- Experience in a hands-on SME finance role (Management Accounts essential)
- Comfortable in a role that blends reporting with day-to-day finance activity
- Payroll experience/knowledge (processing or strong oversight)
- Strong Excel skills and a practical, “get it done” approach
- Part-qualified profile welcomed (or equivalent experience)
- Salary: up to £45,000 (DOE)
- Working pattern: 4 days per week
- Location: Derbyshire (Derby / DE74 area), on-site
- Type: Permanent
