Location: Belper
Pay: £15.00–£17.00 per hour
Duration: Approx. 3 months (ASAP start)
Hours: Part-time 20–25 hrs pw ideally across 5 days (4 days considered). Office hours 8am–5pm with some flexibility on start/finish times.
Cherry Professional is recruiting for a 3 month temporary opportunity for a Business & Operational Support professional to join a busy, highly regulated GP practice. You’ll work closely with the Practice Manager and Deputy Practice Manager, providing hands-on support across a range of operational and administrative tasks.
Healthcare sector experience is not required – we’re looking for someone highly organised who can quickly pick up processes and take ownership of tasks and complete with little supervision.

What you’ll be doing
- Providing high-level day-to-day operational and senior administrative support to the Practice Manager/Deputy.
- Document management: drafting/updating documents, formatting, scanning, filing, version control.
- Maintaining trackers/logs, deadlines and compliance documentation.
- Logging and coordinating complaints (acknowledging, logging, tracking and monitoring SLAs – not investigating)
- Supporting across HR administration and general practice operations
- Assisting with premises / H&S / compliance administration (e.g., checking certificates, renewals, records)
- Proven experience in senior admin / operational support / office management
- Extremely organised, methodical and structured approach
- Confident working with autonomy (this is not an entry-level role)
- Excellent attention to detail, especially with compliance-sensitive paperwork
- Strong MS Office skills: Word, Excel (trackers/logs, filtering, basic formulas), Outlook
- Comfortable handling confidential information appropriately
- DBS check will be required (can be completed on/around start)
- This is a fully office-based requirement (no hybrid option)
