Job DescriptionCherry Professional are currently recruiting for a Procurement Executive role for a small and up-and-coming events company based in the Nottingham city centre. This stand alone role is a great opportunity to enhance your skills and learn the business of procurement. You will be reporting to the venue director and the financial director of the company. The company prides themselves on giving good customer service and are searching for a vibrant and personable candidate to join the company.
Key Responsibilities :
Provide analytical support to internal clients negotiating procurement of major supply contracts.
Liason and negotiation with supply partners to deliver products at the best prices.
Maintaining long standing relationships with both large and smaller contracts.
To lead on EPOS till system data management ensuring accurate and updated product and pricing information as well as stock control analysis.
Market testing and negotiation with the existing supplier database to acheive the best value and cost gains
Source new suppliers to maintain competition within the supply chain.
Oversee general management of the supply chain including contract documentation, planning for events and maintaining contracts.
Ideal candidate :
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and influence relationships.
Ability to work autonomously without direction.
Excellent negotiation skills as well as high confidence when meeting suppliers.
Logical and strategic brain with understanding of basic accounting terms.
Some experience in procurement orientated role is preferred.
