Job Description

Cherry Professional are currently recruiting for an Assistant Buyer / Administrator for their East Midlands based client.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is motivated, ambitious and is looking to develop their skills and experience and to support the procurement manager in providing a comprehensive and professional service to the business. This is a hands-on role covering many different aspects, including the sourcing and buying of a product and management of suppliers.

Responsibilities will include -
· Supporting the Procurement Manager
· Preparing and issuing requests for quotations and purchase orders to suppliers
· Provide purchasing support to ensure that quotes are prepared in a timely manner
· Responsible for day to day purchasing activities
· Maintaining and updating of purchasing data on the system with accuracy
· Maintaining and developing relationships with suppliers

Skills and Personal Qualities
· Buying experience is preferable but not essential
· An enthusiastic individual, self motivated, works under their own initiative
· Ability to foster and build relationships
· Strong analytically cost skills, attention to detail
· Willingness to accept ownership of complex tasks
· Motivated, driven, able to work alone or as part of a cross functional team
· Analytically and numerically astute
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
