Sustainability Analyst | Manufacturing | Leicestershire | Salary up to £40,000 + competitive benefits | Remote Working option

Cherry Professional are excited to be recruiting for a Sustainability Analyst on behalf of a long-term PLC client based in the East Midlands

The key here is 'data' with the ability to collate, manipulate and present in a compelling way. This role sits as part of a specialist team within the finance function however you do not necessarily need to be a finance or accounting professional. 

You might already be in an 'analyst' position, or you might be in an accounting role but find yourself having more of a passion for the data and people side of things.

The Role
Reporting to Group Finance you will play an important role in sustainability reporting across the Group. Supporting the wider business and Group Sustainability team from a finance perspective. Driving a data strategy in order embed sustainable data collectionreporting and KPIs across the Group. As well as supporting current and operational requirements, the role is key to identifying, anticipating, and planning for regulatory change and driving improvements across the Group on relevant issues, enabling the business to lead the way in this crucial area.   
Typical Role Duties will include:
- Support, develop and influence data strategy focusing on environmental, social, and corporate governance data collection, reporting and KPIs across the Group for the short, medium and long term.
- Support the process for the collation, analysis and reporting of the Group’s data covering but not limited to energy consumption, environmental data and waste management
- Support Group Finance and Investor Relations in the mandatory external reporting of metrics and queries
- Provide finance support for updates and reporting to the Executive Committee and Senior Management
- Interact with external consultants and verifiers to ensure delivery of objectives
- Interact with a broad range of internal stakeholders across the Group
- Ownership of Group Sustainability Policies and Procedures
- Involvement in Group wide projects as required.

- Ability to understand and interpret technical guidance and communicate this across the Group
- Excellent project management skills and ability to meet multiple conflicting deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to influence a broad range of internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work under own initiative
- Excellent data and analytical skills including the ability to manipulate, interpret and report multiple data and data sources.
- Attention to detail and focus on accuracy
Working Practices: Hybrid working model with a mix of office and home working.  Plenty of flexibility.
