Purchasing Manager - Nottingham - £28000
Our client is looking for Purchasing Manager with experience in the Public Sector. Based on the outskirts of Nottingham his is a fantastic opportunity to join a proactive organisation and to grow and develop within the role.
*Establish, Maintain and implement the Procurement Strategy
*Create a prioritised procurement plan, and report on progress
*Develop and implement key processes and procedures to support the company, ensuring compliance to Public Procurement regulations (OJEU
*Maintaining a robust supplier set up process, and rationalise the existing supplier base, negotiating *with suppliers
*Reviewing buying patterns across the organisation, and the identification of opportunities for single-source supply.
*Develop and administer a system for monitoring the success of centrally procured contracts including subscriptions and licences.
*Analyse financial data and prepare periodic reports on value for money obtained to monitor savings and record savings.
*Support colleagues in complying with College tendering, evaluation, supplier negotiation and contact awarding processes
*Being responsible for implementing and monitoring key performance indicators in line with the procurement strategy
*Experience of working in an education or not-for-profit environment
*Experience of contributing to the development and delivery of the Procurement Strategy
*Experience of developing monitoring systems for centralised Contracts
*A thorough understanding and knowledge of Public Procurement Regulations (OJEU) and Contract Law experience
*Experience in compiling, issuing and evaluating tender processes
*Strong communication and influencing skills
*Good written and verbal communication skills
*Able to influence others through negotiation
