Payroll Assistant - Derby
We are seeking a Payroll Assistant in Derby on behalf of a well-established, leading provider of construction and technical services They are seeking the right person to join their professional, but friendly team.
The company are looking for a highly organised, self-motivated, reliable payroll professional with experience in processing payrolls from end to end.
To be successful in this role you will also need:
To be able to work to strict, tight deadlines.
Experience in processing weekly payrolls.
Have a knowledge and understanding of statutory payroll obligations such as SSP & SPP.
Excellent Microsoft computer skills, particularly in Excel spreadsheets.
Auto-enrolment pension knowledge is desirable.
To be reliable, honest and trustworthy with sensitive information.
Strong mathematical skills.
Flexible and able to work under pressure.
High levels of attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills.
Ideally knowledge of the construction industry and NAECI Blue Book.
Full UK driving licence.
The primary duties and key responsibilities will include:
Assisting with the processing of the company payroll on a weekly basis.
Assisting with the processing of new starters and leavers.
Updating systems and employer records accurately.
Reviewing and checking the hour's spreadsheets and information provided by sites.
Administration of the Auto-enrolment pension scheme.
Support and liaise regularly with sites and assist with payroll queries.
Assist Payroll Officer and Finance team in ad-hoc tasks.
General office duties including filing, administration and answering the telephone.
You must have the right to live and work in the UK for this role.
