Learning & Development Business Partner |Remote Working| UK
This is a newly created opportunity for an experienced Learning & Development Professional to join an organisation that is committed to supporting their employees and who have exciting plans for the future. This role is reporting to the Head of Group Talent Development but make no mistake, this is an amazing opportunity to create and mould this role into what you want it to be.
In this new L&DBusiness Partner role, you will evolve the Learning & Development strategy across the Legal and Editorial functions of the organisation as well as the creation and delivery of training across those areas.
So, what will you be doing?
- Create and lead the legal training for new starters as part of their induction building on the organisations current training offering.

- You will ensure Journalists have the legal knowledge and are compliant with the companies legal standards and with external compliance requirements.

- Provide engaging and specialist learning support to compliance stakeholders.
- Develop and deliver ad-hoc legal training based on topical events such as general elections.
- Work with the HR Systems and Reporting team to deliver accurate and consistent reporting around all compliance requirements.
- Main point of contact for all group compliance needs to facilitate the delivery of annual compliance requirements through the Learning Management System.
- Partner with internal communication team to ensure all key messaging and deadlines around compliance and training is set.
- Partner with Regional Managing Editors who will support the roll out of the consistent pathway.
- Work with the key stakeholders to drive completion of projects through reporting and communication.
You will also be the primary L&D point of contact for all group compliance requirements, facilitating and providing specialist L&D support to ensure all compliance requirements are met across the group.
About you
- NCTJ or equivalent qualification.
- Deep, and contemporary, media law knowledge across the UK including Scottish and Irish Law.
- Experience in design and delivery of editorial legal training in a business or academic environment.
- Deep understanding of IPSO and regulatory requirements in journalism.
- Passion for developing others and compliance.
- Previous experience working within journalism.
- Experienced learning professional.
- Successful background in developing people.
