Cherry Professional are excited to be recruiting a brand new opportunity with a leading business based in Nottingham in their search for an Internal Audit Manager to create a best in class audit capability.

Reporting to the Head of Internal Audit the role offers an exciting opportunity to help shape the performance and risk agenda of the Group under a new Leadership Team.

  • Implementing and maintaining appropriate mechanisms for the identification, monitoring and reporting of risk to Senior Management and the Board
  • Reporting on the adequacy of the internal controls with respect to all aspects of the Group's operation
  • Developing recommendations to improve controls where appropriate

Reporting to the newly appointed Head of Internal Audit, the Internal Audit Manager will, not only perform and deliver audits, but have a big impact in developing the function, including but not restricted to; a complete re-design of audit methodology, and establishing and embedding enterprise risk management across the organisation. You'll be heavily involved in raising the profile of internal audit across the Group. The work is incredibly varied and you'll have the chance to work on many special projects including system implementations.

The successful candidate will have prior internal audit experience, and be excited to work in a growing developing department. You'll ideally be fully qualified (ACA/ACCA or equivalent) with the ability to influence and drive change. Project management experience is also highly desirable.
