A division of a FTSE 250 manufacturing business are looking for an interim Financial Controller for an initial period of 6 months. The role in based in Leicestershire and commutable from Leicester, Nottingham and Derby. Ideally, you will be able to start no later than early November.

Leading a team of 5 and reporting into the Finance Director, the Financial Controller is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the finance department, ensuring the timely completion of monthly management accounts and providing information and advice to the wider business. Over the duration of the 6 months the successful applicant will take a lead role in controlling costs, inventory accounting, managing debtor levels and guiding the business through year-end.

To be considered for the role it is essential that you have a background in manufacturing and experience of stock accounting. There is a heavy reliance on spreadsheets, therefore you will need to posses advanced Excel skills in order to extract and manipulate large sets of data. Previous management experience and the confidence to hit the ground running is also a must.
