HR Advisor | £25,000 | Nottingham | Permanent
Cherry Professional are pleased to be working with an education trust who are looking for a HR Advisor to start as soon as possible on a permanent basis. The students are at the heart of everything they do, and working in the HR team is no exception. They are looking for someone with a shared passion for enriching the lives of our learners through a continued commitment to delivery of high quality service and guidance to staff.
The HR Advisor role is one of a true HR generalist and encompasses a real opportunity to influence key developments in the trust as they continue to grow. The successful candidate will be exposed to a full spectrum of HR topics and have the freedom to direct their workload and lead on projects within the team.
Responsibilities include:
  • Absence management, well-being meetings
  • Developing training and guidance for staff
  • Supporting the HR admin team
  • Leading and supporting on casework, alongside the HR manager
  • Take on and lead additional projects as they arise
  • Advising staff on the content of our policies and leaders on their application
  • Ensuring that we are recruiting, developing and retaining the best talent in our academies
  • Produce reports on HR metrics and implement practice to improve on identified focus points
Ideal Candidate:
  • Ideally qualified to CIPD level 5, or possess equivalent experience
  • Proven HR generalist competence in a fast pasted environment
  • Sound knowledge of employment law and how to apply it
  • Experience of Employment Relations casework
  • Experience within the education sector (desirable)
  • Competent Microsoft office user
  • A tactful and discreet nature to deal with sensitive issues
  • Self-motivated and able to work without direction
  • Keen eye for detail
