Cherry Professional are currently working with a growing and profitable East Midlands based organisation to recruit a Head of Human Resources - HR Director on a permanent basis.
Working as part of a highly talented and experienced HR team, you will be responsible for leading a high performing and incredibly commercial team of people.

As a key member of the Senior Management Team, you will work especially closely with the Managing Director and Commercial Director to drive the success of the organisation. You will have a focus on delivering the objectives of the people plan whilst acting as a commercial soundboard from a people perspective.
On a day-to-day basis you will lead the HR function and have complete accountability for the design and delivery of the people plan. Whilst you will have personal accountability of the people plan, you will also support across all functions of the business to ensure that the commercial aspects of the plan are achieved.
Some of the day-to-day duties will include: -
Support Senior Management Team with all HR related activities.
Be a guardian of the culture and values.
Ensure values and employee opinion is heard at Board level.
Drive development of performance, talent, D&I and Organisational Development with Senior HR team.
Regularly assess reward and recognition.
Ensure all employees have the skills and ability to undertake their roles alongside the L&D team.
Oversee transactional HR activity and ensure effective management of these activities.
Lead, inspire, motivate and up-skill a team of HR professionals.
Drive a culture of continuous improvement across the HR function – to include people, systems and processes.
Analyse HR data and trends to enable assessment of critical data.
Ensure HR budget / spend offers return on investment for the organisation.
Desirable skills and experience
High levels of emotional intelligence and strong stakeholder management skills - including communication and influencing skills.
An ability to take personal accountability and have impact across deliverables.
A result orientated individual who ensures that people and organisation values are upheld in all activities.
Collaborative team member who is pragmatic and can operate at both a hands-on and a strategic level.
Ability to operate in a fast moving, customer centric organisation.
Experience of working in a large growing organisation whilst growing capabilities of HR function and acting as a partner to Senior Management Team is essential.
A down to earth, high energy and genuine individual with high levels of personal integrity.
CIPD Level 7 Qualified.
