Group Financial Controller| Professional Services / Charitable Sector | £55,000 - £65,000 + great benefits | Near Peterborough

I am delighted to be supporting a unique client in the Peterborough area (commutable from Melton Mowbray, Corby, Grantham and Peterborough) in their search for a new Financial Controller!

Having just hired a new FD the client is looking to move quickly and bolster the senior finance capability with a further senior hire.

What sort of things might you get involved in?

Leading a change programme to ensure the organisations financial management is consistent with best practice and is compliant with relevant legislation.

Lead and manage the finance team and act as a business partner to stakeholders across the Group.

Ensure delivery of timely and accurate management accounts and KPI's across the Group.

Provide advisory support and guidance across the Group on all financial management matters

Lead on the annual financial audit and production of statutory accounts.

Review all financial policies, processes and controls and recommend the changes required to ensure best practise in financial management.

Lead on the implementation of changes agreed with the FD.

Lead and control the annual business planning and budgeting process, ensuring synergy and appropriate financial prioritisation across all departments for the annual operational budget, corporate project spend and capital purchases.

Strong advisory/oversight role in all corporate projects to ensure appropriate management of spend and forward financial commitments.

Be a champion of change to develop further the effectiveness of the finance processes and team.

What experience do you need?

Fully qualified in a recognised Accounting Qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)

Experienced profile ideally at finance manager level and above

Any experience of implementing change or in environments lacking processes and procedures

Strong and robust in character yet remaining affable and having the ability to build relationships with a variety of stakeholders.

Experienced Team Manager who can inspire, motivate and develop as required.

An interest in an employer with a strong ethical compass who is making the world a better place is a distinct advantage.
