Cherry Professional are proud to be working with a newly established, exciting media business in Leicester City Centre, who are looking for an experienced Financial Controller to cover maternity leave, for the next 12 months.

You will be will be overseeing the finance functions, including accounts receivable, and accounts payable, ensuring that company processes and policies are being followed, and all financial information is provided in an accurate and timely manner.

Job Duties:

  • To manage, lead and motivate the finance team
  • Manage Accounts Receivable Team Leader and Systems Accountant
  • Ensure all cash is processed and queries dealt with in a timely manner
  • To manage banking relationships/conformity to Direct Debit regulations
  • Banking and Treasury
  • Review the consolidated cash flow forecast and propose recommendations for improvement, if necessary
  • Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are completed in-line with deadlines set Accounts Payable


Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Qualified Accountant with significant prior Financial Accounts experience
  • Background of working within a Finance Department in a commercial organisation or alternatively a mix of practice and industry experience
  • Minimum 4 years' experience of working in a relevant financial accountant position
  • Experience in managing teams
  • Minimum 1 years' experience with tax, interpreting tax legislation and liaising with tax authorities
  • Competent using Microsoft Office - Excel (in particular)
