Financial Controller - Nottingham - £50,000 FTE
We are recruiting an Interim Financial Controller on behalf of a public sector organisation based in Nottingham. This is a 12 month contract to cover maternity leave, with the option of taking the role on a full-time basis, or 4 days per week. You will also benefit from a great benefits package, which includes 39 days annual leave + public holidays.
Reporting into the Finance Director, you will be responsible for 3 direct and 12 indirect reports, including Management Accounts, Financial Accounting and Payroll. The Finance Director is looking for someone is able to challenge the norm, whilst understanding the nature of the organisation. Aside from that you will be supporting year-end/audit and generally tightening up processes & controls.
To be considered for this opportunity you must be a qualfied accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with relevant accounting and management experience. Aside from that we are looking for someone who isn't aftaid to get stuck-in from day 1, can guide the organisation through year-end without any issues and possess strong systems & excel ability.
