Finance Systems Supervisor - Leicestershire - £40,000 to 42,000

We are recruting a Finance Systems Supervisor on behalf of a blue-chip business, based in Leicestershire. They are offering a fantastic opportunity for someone to join the support function of the Group Finance Systems Support team based in the Group Support Centre. Reporting to the Finance Systems Assurance Manager you will play a leading role in ensuring the provision of high quality support and administration across financial applications in line with group policies and procedures and the completion of high quality testing of new functionality and updating user guides.

The ideal candidate will have experience within a finance systems support function environment.


Role & Responsibilities:

- Managing the support team
- Managing the resolution or escalation of system support issues
- Managing all business as usual tasks and processes and ensure that they are delivered in accordance with our policy and procedures
- Delivery of support and training documentation for the financial applications
- Delivering the communication of, updates and improvements to, all financial users
- Assisting with the delivery of projects by engaging with GFSS team and external financial teams as required
- Providing end user feedback to help shape the training strategies for all financial system users
- Assisting the System Assurance Manager in ensuring the successful transition from design and development to go live and in accordance with policy and procedures
- Ensuring industry best practices are adopted and adhered to for system support
- Resolving issues with software providers

Required skills & experience:

- Ability to work dynamically in both team and independent environments is necessary
- Ability to react quickly to a fast paced, rapidly changing business environment
- Part qualified/qualified Accountant
- Strong understanding of IT terms and concepts
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the business
- Good attention to detail
- Preferred system experience - COINS/TM1/JIRA/Excel at advanced level
- Pragmatic problem solver
- Strong project management skills
- A high degree of integrity
- A good degree of commercial awareness
- Be a coach and mentor to members of staff
