Cherry Professional are recruiting for a fantastic business based in Burton On Trent who are seeking to employ a finance and payroll assistant on a 14 month contract basis.
Our Client has a proven track record of success and are a huge player within their market place. You will be working for a global company for a well-recognised brand.
The successful candidate will be responsible for essential finance administrative duties including preparing payroll information for the payroll bureau, purchase ledger, sales ledger, BACS payments and banking.
Key Responsibilities include:
Process monthly payroll as per the payroll manual ensuring a high standard of accuracy is maintained
Run the new starter and leaver payroll process ensuring salaries are calculated properly
Check salary increases/role changes and ensure the back pay is calculated
Ensure payroll is processed according to timetable
Assist in the preparation of payroll reports and statistics as required
Provide primary support for all payroll queries
Support for purchase ledger invoice processing
Sales invoice processing
Payment runs - bacs/chaps/faster payments/travel expenses/pro-formas
Monthly Cash Flow analysis actual spend for Finance Manager
Petty Cash Management - payments to members, weekly reconciliation
What we are looking for from you:
Highly numerate with an eye for detail
Intermediate Excel skills
Excellent written/verbal communication skills
Discreet and professional
Exceptionally well organised and efficient
Ability to work to tight deadlines
A high level of confidentiality
Effective time management
Flexibility and willingness to learn
Competitive salary of £20,000 to £22,000 per annum
