Cherry Professional are pleased to be working with a high growth business based in the East Midlands who are seeking a Senior Credit Manager, on a permanent basis.

Our client is looking to recruit an exceptional Credit Manager who will work in synergy with Senior Management. The main responsibility of the role will be the effective delivery of debt reporting, implementing procedures and controls along with management of the accounts receivable team. Critically the role will ensure that appropriate controls are in place, develop and enhance the systems and support and manage the credit function of the business. Essentially the Credit Manager will be a very visible role within the business, giving you the opportunity to make a real impact with cash flow.

The organisation is very ambition and highly acquisitive so there is no doubt the role will continue to grow over the next couple of years. The business is an easily recognisable brand in the area and prides itself on the delivery of strong development practices amongst their employees, hence a low staff turnover and positive working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Playing a pivotal role in developing and improving procedures and controls, with a particular emphasis on cash flow activities
Setting and managing KPIs including; cash collection targets and reviewing performance
Monitoring and reviewing all aspects of the sales and billing process, ensuring accurate recording of sales and timely accurate billing
Managing and motivating an established team and lead them to success
Reporting of cash flow and credit control activities to senior management and key stakeholders within the business
Assisting with ad hoc projects as they arise working to tight deadlines.

Ideal Candidate:

Proven experience managing a credit control team and function - you will be confident managing and motivating an accounts receivable team
Highly organised with good time management skills
Keen problem solver with the view to get to the root cause of an incident, with the view to adapt any process
Excellent communication skills at all levels
Skilled at building rapport within internal and external stakeholders
Work at pace with flexibility within an ever changing environment, and have the ability and experience to work under pressure to deadlines
Excellent numeracy skills as well as having strong IT literacy skills are essential.
Excellent interpersonal skills in order to manage the team and communicate with departments
Pro-active self-starter.
