Cherry Professional are currently recruiting for a full time, permanent, Business Development Director for their respected client based in Nottingham.

Responsibilities:

- Perform full market analysis, including competing offerings, in order to find sizable and lucrative gaps in the market and solve the real market needs
- Develop, agree and execute business and market development strategy/plan for the MobiCash Service in the UK market
- Based on the market analysis develop, agree and execute service/product development strategy that upholds the service integrity; continuously raise suggestions for improvements and functionality extensions of the service
- Develop and implement action (tactical) plans to penetrate the market within the UK
- Make live demonstrations of the service; maintain the demo version live and current
- Develop a network of business partners (if deemed necessary by the agreed strategy); maintain effective business relationships with the partners; prepare partner agreements, monitor their implementation
- Review/scope out prospective customer and partner business requirements; advise on the best business solutions and prepare commercial proposals, presentations and/or other required documents
- Assess the cost effectiveness and perform feasibility study of the market segments; particular service offering and/or individual customer/partner projects
- Work with the legal team to prepare all the required contractual documents
- Act as an account manager for the acquired customers/partners
- Make suggestions on the service improvements/development
- Compile detailed customer business specifications and work closely with the technical and project team to implement pilots and/or full customer projects
- Be a service evangelist; convey, teach and inspire the market and the payments community about the value of the service and mobile payments in general; publish articles, opinion pieces, reports and case notes in various professional/industry publications and on relevant social media
- Work closely with the marketing team to devise marketing strategy and to promote the service at regional events of all levels (whether for consumers, consumer groups, merchants or larger industry players, such as PSPs, retailers, acquirers, issuers, associations, etc.); create various service presentation materials for different target groups
- Continuously enrich and extend the knowledge of the industry, Compass Plus products, information technologies of the retail banking and electronic payments industry
- Work closely with the larger international MobiCash Service team to understand their strategy, progress and challenges; share knowledge; ensure the service integrity
- Participate in working groups and committees in accordance with the management instructions
- Submit regular reports on work performed
- Perform other related duties as assigned

Skills & Experience:

- A minimum of 10 years' experience in the payments industry;
- Economics/finance/marketing/business/IT related degree/qualification
- Expert knowledge of the payments industry, especially the acquiring side; knowledge of mobile payments
- Some knowledge of the various underlying technologies and desire to understand more
- Distinctive entrepreneurial flair
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Excellent knowledge of strategic public relations: relationship management, expectations management, conflict management through effective communications etc.
- Ability to work in a global team environment and independently
- Ability to consistently meet deadlines, be proactive and teamwork oriented
- Availability for extensive travel
- Public speaking experience in demonstrating software solutions
- Proven business development and sales skills
- Experience with the preparation and negotiation of contractual documentation
