Accounts Payable Manager | Nottingham | Competitive Salary Package

Cherry Professional are recruiting for a global business who are looking to recruit an experience Accounts Payable Manager to lead their team and ensure all work is completed on time and accurately, whilst developing team members to enable growth of their capabilities. 

The role and responsibilities:
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of monthly and quarterly financial results
- Having responsibility for processing payments in a department that will make payments of up to £400 million per year
- To ensure that work is allocated and clearly understood and ensures that each member of the team maintains a broad range of knowledge,
- Having direct accountability for ensuring that authorised expenditure is processed and paid in accordance with agreements and/or Company policy
- Leading the implementation and maintenance of performance metrics for the team and using these to create a programme of continuous improvement
- Ensuring that all invoices are registered on receipt to ensure the appropriate period is charged with the relevant expense
- Supporting and implementing actions to optimise working capital as directed by the Financial Accounting Controller and Finance & IT Director
- Managing customer deductions, liaising with Accounts Receivable and Treasury
- Providing necessary inputs from AP into cash flow and working capital modelling
- An experienced people manager, used to co-ordinating payments on multiple systems whilst developing an ambitious AP team. Experience of managing change through your team will be an advantage.

- Experience in an Accounts Payable Manager/Purchase Ledger Manager Position.
- Used to co-ordinating payments on multiple systems whilst developing an ambitious AP team.
- Experience of managing change through your team will be an advantage.

The offer:
The salary for this role is dependent on experience. We offer an annual bonus incentive and a good company pension scheme, 3x basic salary life assurance plus 25 days holiday in addition to bank holidays (with the option to purchase additional holidays) and access to a sports and social fund. Working hours are Monday - Thursday 8.30 - 5.00, Fridays 8.30 - 4.00, with the option of working up to two days per week remotely and free, onsite parking.
