Management Accountant | Chesterfield| £40,000 – £45,000 + Benefits DOE – Office Based

Our client, a rapidly growing and profitable business services company, based in Chesterfield, is seeking a proactive Management Accountant to join its finance team. This is a key position, offering the chance to work closely with operational leaders while ensuring robust financial control and insightful reporting.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Producing timely and accurate monthly financial statements, including profit & loss, balance sheet and variance analysis
  • Supporting the month-end close process and contributing to group-level reporting
  • Overseeing regular payroll activity and ensuring compliance with relevant processes
  • Analysing service costs and profitability to support commercial decisions
  • Providing financial input to operational teams and assisting with performance monitoring
  • Helping to shape financial forecasts, annual budgets, and audit preparation
  • Supervising and coaching a junior finance team member
  • Recommending improvements to internal systems, controls, and reporting tools

What You’ll Bring:

  • Professionally qualified or actively studying (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
  • A strong foundation in management accounting, financial reporting, accounting procedures, and payroll
  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to analyse data and explain insights clearly
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with different teams
  • A hands-on attitude, with a focus on solving problems and improving processes
  • Experience working in a business services or similar professional environment is a plus
  • Strong Excel skills would be beneficial
