Finance Manager – Based in Nottingham – £40–50k Salary

If so, we’re working exclusively with a growing organisation in the East Midlands that is seeking a commercially-minded finance leader to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be the number 2 to the FD, to take ownership of core finance operations whilst working closely with senior stakeholders to influence wider business decisions. The Role:
- Preparing monthly management accounts, ledgers, and reconciliations
- Lead the delivery of accurate and timely payroll process
- Business partner to the leadership team supporting financial planning and performance reviews
- Lead and develop the Finance Assistant
- Identify and implement process improvement projects across finance and related business functions
- Help implement new technologies and automation tools to improve the reporting process
- Ensure accurate, data-driven reporting to enable robust commercial decisions
About You:
- You’ll be a qualified (AAT, CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or Qualified by experience finance professional with proven experience in a similar role
- You will have experience managing payroll and transactional finance operations
- You enjoy a fast-paced, agile environment where challenging the status quo is embraced
- You have excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- You will be confident working with stakeholders across the business
- You will bring a hands-on approach and also be able to contribute to strategy and improvement
- Experience working in SME or entrepreneurial environment would be advantageous
