Procurement Specialist | Hybrid (one day a week in the office) | Grantham
£200 per day
4 month contract to start early June 

Are you an experienced Procurement Professional looking for a meaningful contract with an organisation that makes a real impact? We’re working with a nationally recognised organisation, to find a skilled Procurement Contractor to lead a crucial project. The Procurement Specialist will lead the procurement process from start to finish—working with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to deliver a smooth, compliant, and successful outcome

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience managing IT or technology-related procurement processes
  • Solid knowledge of third-sector or public-sector procurement regulations
  • Skilled in managing ITTs and supplier communications
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Confident using Microsoft Office tools and working to tight deadlines

Desirable

  • CIPS Level 4 (or working towards)
  • Understanding of contract law and procurement documentation
  • Experience with procurement or contract management systems

The finer elements of the role include:

  • Lead the Tender: Manage the end-to-end procurement for the Core IT Services tender, from planning to contract award
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work with procurement, technical, legal, and project teams to align requirements and timelines
  • Engage Suppliers: Act as the main point of contact for bidders, issuing documents, managing queries, and facilitating workshops
  • Drive Compliance: Ensure all activity aligns with internal policies and sector regulations
  • Support Decision-Making: Help organise evaluations, provide clear documentation, and support the Procurement Committee throughout the process
  • Risk & Contract Oversight: Spot issues early, support contract negotiations, and maintain thorough procurement records
