Company Accountant (Immediate Start Available – Location: Alfreton
Salary: £50-60k plus benefits
Contract: Permanent (Temp to Perm available)
Are you a hands-on finance professional looking for a broad and varied role in a growing business? We’re on the lookout for a Company Accountant to take charge of our clients finance function while also supporting HR and payroll.
This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a key role, working directly with senior management in a friendly and dynamic environment.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Finance & Accounting:
- Running the day-to-day finance operations
- Producing monthly and annual accounts.
- Managing cash flow, bank balances, and finance facilities.
- Overseeing VAT, PAYE, and Corporation Tax compliance.
- Handling foreign currency transactions and intercompany reconciliations.
- Budgeting, forecasting, and supporting financial planning.
- Overseeing external audits and statutory reporting.
- Overseeing HR and payroll – making sure everything runs smoothly
- Supporting the leadership team with key decision support information.
- Driving process improvement and efficiencies.
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualified (ACCA, ACA, CIMA) or QBE – as long as you have the experience, we’re open!
- Strong background in finance, reporting, and compliance.
- Experience working in SMEs and hands on environments
- Familiarity with HR & payroll
- Someone who can juggle multiple responsibilities and work independently.
- Solid Excel and accounting software skills.
