We are working with a business in the Long Eaton area that are looking for a Finance professional to join their team on a full time, permanent basis.
The business is looking for an ambitious candidate that can support this growing business achieve the next level.
This role is fully office based – please only apply to this role if you are happy to be in the office Monday – Friday.
The role:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports
- Support the month-end and year-end closing processes
- Review financial transactions and ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting principles
- Help manage and reconcile company accounts, including bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist with forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning activities
- Provide financial analysis to support business decision-making
- Support the transition from QuickBooks to SAGE, ensuring a smooth migration process
- Help to maintain financial controls and improve operational efficiencies
- Work closely with other departments to provide financial insights and drive business performance
Requirements:
- Part-qualified in ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent with a strong desire to complete studies
- Previous experience in finance or accounting
- Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software (knowledge of SAGE is a plus)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally
- A proactive and flexible approach to problem-solving
