Assistant Controller/Europe – based in Derby – £1100,000 + bens
Are you a driven and analytical finance professional looking for a new challenge? This company is seeking an Assistant Controller for their European division, based in the UK. This role offers the scope to make a difference, reporting into a highly experienced leader. This role is part of their succession planning so plays an important role in the Finance team.
As the Assistant Controller, you will be responsible for providing support with all daily operations within finance, tax, and business partnering. You will drive a culture of continuous improvement within the business, ensuring financial reporting, accounts payable, budgeting, and forecasting modelling are completed accurately and on time.
This role will work closely with the Managing Directors in the UK and Germany, serving as a liaison with external stakeholders and supporting the management of key vendor relationships. Initially focusing on the company’s business interests operated out of the United Kingdom in Europe and Australia, with additional regional assignments as determined by business growth and operational expansion. This role is not your typical accounting role it has a real breadth to it and it is expected that you will roll your sleeves up and get into the numbers, look at processes as well as mentoring the team. You will be highly visible and liaise daily with C Suite.

- Experience of delivering to tight deadlines in a complex international environment
- You will be a strong analyst, with experience in budget processes, forecasting, and business decision support.
- You will have strong leadership skills and the ability to appropriately question, challenge and improve upon existing processes
