Finance Director | Leicestershire | c£110,000 + Benefits | Manufacturing Company
Cherry Professional are delighted to be working with a manufacturing company that is based in the East Midlands who operate throughout the UK and Europe. They are widely known for the quality of their products and have doubled in size within recent years. They are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Finance to lead their financial strategies and drive the business forward.
Key Responsibilities….
- You will proactively lead and develop the Finance team, taking finance to the fore of the business
- You will provide strategic support to the MD
- You will maintain close working relationships with sales and operational teams.
- You will develop and improve systems to measure performance at all levels.
- You will drive projects to increase visibility and accuracy of costing, margins, efficiencies, and processes.
- You will advise on legal aspects such as contracts, HMRC, Brexit, and accounting principles. Ensure compliance with regulations.
- You will sustain and improve audit and control practices to succeed in financial and bank audits.
- You will ensure accuracy of budgets and forecasts, strengthening controls to increase accountability.
- Control and forecast cashflows accurately using invoice discount facilities.
- Business Partnering for all group areas.
- Be responsible for Tax Management
- Streamline and actively drive improvements in payroll processes.
What the Client is looking for…
- You must be qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA with 10+ years of post-qualification experience.
- Have a proven track record as a Head of Finance in a manufacturing environment and international trading companies.
- Have an in-depth knowledge of P&L in standard costing, balance sheet, cashflow, margin analysis, and financial reporting.
- Previous exposure to transfer pricing documentation and regulations.
- Proactive management of working capital and cash flow.
- Experience with import/export activities, letters of credit, managing FX exposures, and multi-currency accounting.
- Ability to confidently interface and influence all stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and colleagues.
