Cherry Professional are seeking a Business Development Manager for a Technology & Design Manufacturer based in Derby.
This role will suit someone who has previous experience of Managed Service Sales

Purpose of the role:

The purpose of the Business Development Manager role is to lead and grow sales, revenue and profit for the company. The role will initially focus on ‘New Business Development’ with the view that the position will evolve over time to focus more on ‘Account Management‘ responsibilities once short and medium term targets have been met.

– A candidate capable of leading conversations with high end stakeholders
– Appetite to generate your own leads and an eagerness to build professional relationships with key clients
– Passion for Sales / Business Development 
– Motivated to work independently to your Sales targets / Target driven
– Driven to exceed targets and ability to work well in a team
– Ideally service Sales experience
– Confidence prospecting and making cold introductions
– A candidate with proactive interest in Customer on-boarding 
– Ability to deal with multiple large accounts
– Demonstrated experience of adopting a consultative sales approach to understand complex customer situations with senior stakeholders from multiple departments
– Demonstrated experience of executing sales campaigns to achieve agreed objectives, including tele-prospecting, networking exhibitions and referral selling

Key details: 

– Lead the sales process to achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets
– Deliver an agreed number of prospecting activities to win new business
– Proactively manage key accounts to deliver annual growth targets
– Align with marketing initiatives to support conversion rates
– Administer the company CRM to ensure that the department is aligned
– Grow sales and revenue by proactive Business Development 
– Proactive Account Management
