Management Accountant – Nottingham – Hybrid – £50-60,000 (DOE) + Bens

Our client based in Nottingham, is looking to enhance their finance team and appoint a Finance Professional to add value from day one.  In this role, you will support their mission by delivering top-notch accounting and reporting services to their clients and stakeholders.
 
The Role…
As a Management Accountant, your expertise and qualifications will be crucial in helping the Group meet its financial obligations. You will play a pivotal role in assisting investors, lenders, and other stakeholders with their reporting needs, working closely with the Group Financial Controller and Finance team. Your work will span across various areas of the business, providing you with the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to their overall success.
 
Key Responsibilities…
 
*            You will prepare and complete monthly and quarterly management accounts for investors and stakeholders.
*            You will ensure robust data capture systems are in place for efficient reporting.
*            You will act as Finance Business Partner to collaborate with internal teams and external partners to gather relevant data for accurate account completion.
*            You will maintain an audit trail that reconciles back to source data, ensuring all period-end reconciliations are accurate.
*            You will provide data analysis and respond to investor queries post-account completion.
*            You will assist the Group Financial Controller in producing key stakeholder reports, including bank and board reports.
*            You will contribute to forecasting and budgeting processes as required.
*            You will support the preparation of VAT returns, and year-end tax analysis.
*            You will recommend and implement changes to accounting policies in line with best practices.
*            You will assist in the preparation of statutory accounts and liaise with external auditors during the audit process.
*            You will support financial analysis for new business initiatives, including new sites and revenue streams.
 
Who the client is looking for…
*            Qualified Accountant ACA/ACCA/CIMA with at least 2 years PQE
*            Have strong technical financial skills
*            Have a proactive, results-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and flexibly.
*            Possess a strong customer focus and a commitment to supporting the Group’s financial information needs.
