Manufacturing Process Engineer

Manufacturing Process Engineer | Permanent | £35000 – £45000 per annum
Cherry Professional are recruiting for a Manufacturing Process Engineer. You will be responsible for driving strategic continuous improvement of manufacturing processes throughout the business. Supported by the production team as a whole, you will expedite and control change throughout the factory in
order to facilitate manufacturing excellence.  

Responsibilities:

• Optimisation of local Manufacturing processes to maximise efficiency and effectiveness
• Analysing and reporting on production processes, methods, schedules, downtime, cycle times, availability of machines and waste management
• Ownership of initiatives across the Manufacturing Excellence Initiative (RT4ME), ensuring that ME Maturity Assessment targets are achieved.
• Lead Strategic Improvement Projects from conception to completion, delivering an engaging change experience for the internal customer
• Participate in local cell and production meetings as needed.
• Troubleshoot, identify and project manage improvement initiatives as dictated by the needs of the business.
• Ensure a clear and holistic understanding of internal and external customers’ expectations and aligning improvement solutions accordingly.
• Ensuring that company processes, layout, systems and tools are used properly and consistently to maximise manufacturing efficiency
• Developing Capex Proposals based on projects outputs
• Utilisation of group and globally recognised ME techniques.
• Ensuring awareness of and compliance to company policies and procedures according to your agreed scope of work.

Ideal Candidate:

• HNC/HND, or equivalent level in an engineering discipline, desirable
• Improvement Process Management
• Local Process Expertise and knowledge of manufacturing production and processes
• Experience of building strong internal and external customer relationships
• Decision maker and problem solver
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work as part of a team
