Our client is an industry leader with ambitious growth plans, actively engaging in diverse projects across the commercial, residential, infrastructure, and rail sectors.
Job Purpose:As a Senior Management Accountant, you will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and act as a key player in managing and developing the finance function. Your primary responsibilities will include the preparation of financial accounts and reports, ensuring that finance systems and processes are robust and scalable to support the company’s growth trajectory.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Financial Management: Full preparation and control of production and manufacturing accounts.
- Reporting: Preparation of monthly management accounts and regular group reports, including cash reporting and quarterly statutory consolidation.
- Cost Analysis: Collaborate with site teams and the shared service department to review and understand monthly costs, enhancing reporting accuracy.
- Site Visits: Periodically visit job sites to ensure accurate financial oversight.
- Reconciliation: Reconcile key balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Year-End Preparation: Prepare year-end accounts and group consolidation in accordance with IFRS standards.
- Compliance: Manage compliance activities including audits, tax returns, and statutory filings.
- Technical Guidance: Provide technical accounting guidance related to UK and international GAAP standards.
- Strategic Support: Assist the CFO in the preparation of financial plans and forecasts, and support on ad hoc commercial projects.
About You:We are seeking a Qualified Accountant (CIMA or ACCA) with substantial experience in Manufacturing or Production Accounting. Proficiency in Peoplesoft or Coins accounting packages is highly desirable, along with a background in construction or engineering. The role requires occasional travel to job sites and regional offices, so flexibility and adaptability are key.
