Head of HR Operations

Head of HR Operations | 6 month contract | Immediate Start | Nottinghamshire | up to £65,000

We are currently seeking a Head of HR Operations in the Nottinghamshire area. This is initially a 6-month role with the potential for extension beyond that. The successful candidate will be responsible for stabilising a HR department, ensuring processes are efficient, and keeping HR functioning smoothly.

As the Head of HR Operations, you will lead a team of HR advisors, L&D, Talent and support. You will be responsible for coaching and developing line managers whilst building solid relationships with managers. You will also be taking on escalated ER cases from the advisors and these are not always clear cut.

With employees spread across various Nottinghamshire locations, your role will be office-based – predominantly Nottingham, but there will be some travel required to other sites.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in a traditional HR role and a proven track record of implementing better processes and tightening up HR functions. You should have experience coaching and developing line managers, building relationships with managers, and handling escalated ER cases.

This role will involve some projects, such as redesigning onboarding and ensuring a smooth transition for outsourced pre-employment checks. You will also be responsible for ensuring that all processes are being carried out efficiently and effectively.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with people at all levels of the organisation. You should be a strategic thinker with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
