Head of Finance Operations – Leicester – Hybrid working – to £75K + Bens
We are excited to be working with this young and vibrant company based in Leicestershire who are looking for a Head of Finance Operations/Financial Controller to join a dynamic and growing organization. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for all aspects of finance operations and compliance, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, cashflow management, and development of internal control policies and procedures.
Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will be leading a team of finance professionals to ensure that all finance processes, systems, and controls are operating effectively. You will manage all finance operations, including Cashflows, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Financial Accounts, and the Finance System. You will also lead on the month-end and year-end close processes, including bank reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliations.
Also, part of your remit will be the responsibility of co-ordinating the statutory reporting, including preparation of statutory accounts, preparation for external audits, and timely resolution of audit issues. You will manage treasury and cashflows, handle VAT, PAYE and Tax duties (including Corporation tax), and maintain and file all statutory records for the business.
You will lead on technical accounting issues for compliance, including the development and documentation of business and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
You will liaise with external auditors, HMRC, and the company’s bankers.
What the client is looking for…
- You should have a degree level qualification
- Qualified accountant ACA/ACCA/CIMA
- Prior Financial Controller experience,
- Have a background of working within a finance department in a commercial organization.
- You should also have experience in leading teams and be competent using Microsoft Office – Word, Excel (in particular), PowerPoint, and Outlook.
In addition, you should possess excellent communication, networking, and influencing skills, as well as commercial awareness, drive for results, attention to detail and analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
This is a permanent position offering a competitive salary of up to £75K + benefits.
