Exclusive to Cherry | HR Assistant / Advisor | £25,000 to £30,000 DOE | Remote Working available 

Cherry Professional are excited to be supporting a Nottingham based Manufaturing organisation to recruit their first permanent person in HR.  This organisation are seeing a significant period of growth which has led to them deciding to bring HR in-house.  

Your role will be to work closely with the Senior Management Team to ensure the people plan is delivered and you will be the first point of call for all HR related queries.

The successful candidate will be an ambitious individual who wants to continue growing their own career within a people centric and values driven organisation.  You'll offer full HR support across the entire employee life-cycle.  

The Opportunity

First point of contact for HR queries.
Monitor, review and update all policies and handbook in line with current legislation and best practice.
Provide an advisory service to employees ensuring that they are fully aware of their rights and entitlements.
Manage staff relationships, promptly respond to queries and manage expectations.
Ensure Human Resources matters are handled fairly and consistently in line with legal and company requirements.
Undertake grievance, disciplinary and capability investigations and hearings.
Support and develop recruitment campaigns – including producing job specs for new roles.
Help to drive organisational performance by driving core business objectives.
Keep regular management information on all people metrics and feedback to MD.
Work in partnership with line managers on performance management, employee relations, resourcing and staff management/development.
Champion Diversity and Inclusion across the business.
Ensure values are lived and breathed across business.
Update HR system with all relevant documentation and conversations.
Looking after new employees – from sending out contracts to running induction and on-boarding.
Learning & Development – ensure that statutory and developmental training is undertaken.
Administration of attendance management, compensation & benefits and probation period reviews.

What You'll Need

CIPD Level 5 Qualification.
Generalist HR experience - ideally in a Manufacturing environment.
Experience of working with and advising line managers for all areas of employee life-cycle.
Confidence to liaise with all levels of people.
First class communication and influencing skills.
