Senior Finance Manager Peterborough | 6 month contract / £350–500 per day

We have an excellent opportunity for someone with an extensive background in manufacturing to join a listed FMCG business in a project-focused role. The contract is likely to run for 3-6 months and will be a good blend of projects, systems & process improvement and team leadership.

The business implemented JD Edwards last year, albeit without proper support. As a result it has created lots of workarounds, manual downloads and excessive reconciliations, which has in turn placed a lot of pressure on the team and is taking up a significant time. The Finance Director would like to bring someone in to map out existing processes, make the necessary improvements and document new processes. Alongside this, you will also provide cover for the existing Finance Manager in order to alleviate some pressure, although this will only account for around 30% of your time.

To be considered for this role you need to be familiar with JD Edwards so that you can hit the ground running. You will already have experience of systems and process improvement in a heavy manufacturing environment, specifically around costing, stock and inventory controls. Ideally you will be a Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) but QBE accountants with all of the relevant experience will also be considered.
