Interim Chief Financial Officer - East Midlands - £600 - £800 per day (Ltd)

Are you a professional Senior Finance Interim with a proven track record of delivering strong and effective leadership to finance functions across international organisations? Do you have the gravitas and expertise required to educate, motivate and unite a diverse workforce behind a common vision? This is an opportunity to work for a unique SME business, with a global footprint, who operate in the B2B and multi-channel retail sectors. They have strong links to the leisure and entertainment industry, and most will have unknowingly used their services at some point. You'll be joining the business at an exciting, yet challenging time, as it drives digital transformation, customer strategy and diversification. Add to that an imminent change in ownership, along with the need to tidy up balance sheets, improve inventory & stock control and review working capital, and it's easy to see why robust financial leadership is required. 

The Role:

- Managing Budgets, financial projections and forecasts for the Consolidated Group, and ensuring corrective action wherever necessary
- Ensuring the integrity and accuracy of all business data and MI
- Overseeing the production monthly Management Accounts and other financial information for the Management team and executive Board
- Lead the Risk Management team, reporting on a bi-annual basis to investors, management of Insurance & litigation and maintaining the relationship with external legal Counsel
- Provision of annual statutory accounts and submission to the Board meeting
- Supporting various internal stakeholders with the capitalisation and delivery of business optimisation projects, within agreed budgets
- Treasury Management – monitoring the efficiency of working capital, reviewing international bank accounts and foreign exchange exposure
- Take the lead on acquisition strategy with the CEO – including due diligence, valuation and post implementation
- Work with regional FDs ensuring that local legislation and statutory obligations are met
- Work with the CEO is formulating and communicating the Business Strategy internally and externally
 
Essential Requirements:

- Qualified Accountant (ideally ACA)
- Experience of Leading a Finance function across an international business and within and SME environment
- Experience of working on a Senior Management Team and with an ability to influence other functional heads
- Experience of mergers, acquisitions and business integration
- Commercial initiative with a track record of creating strategic partnerships to improve profitability
- Entrepreneurial mindset - used to working in fast-paced, agile environments

Desirable Requirements:

- Experience of multi-channel retail business transformation, ideally with a focus on digital purchasing
- Have built financial scale and valuation, leading to an exit
- Experience in dealing with margin pressures and understanding the commercial drivers that improve site margins

In order to be considered for this role you must be available to start no later than mid-February and able to commit to at least a 9 month contract.
