Senior Procurement Specialist | Grantham | Permanent | £30,000 to £40,000

Cherry Professional are currently recruiting for a Senior Procurement Specialist for their respected client based in Grantham. Your role will be to support Procurement activities across the organisation, support the businesses with their procurement requirements, manage the Supplier Relationship and Due Diligence programmes and work with both internal and external stakeholders to deliver results and drive best practice. 

Responsibilities: 
- The Senior Procurement Specialist will provide procurement services, expertise and support across the company
- Ensuring compliance with and playing an active role in improving and developing the - Procurement policies, procedures and practices 
- Leading the implementation of the Supplier Relationship programme
- Leading the Supplier Due Diligence programme
- Delivery of sourcing and contracting projects of various value and risk, either directly or via supporting colleagues
- Leading contract reviews and negotiations, redrafting where necessary
- To be a key contributor to the growing Procurement presence across the organisation
- Provide management with high quality analysis and MI of Procurement activities in order to inform strategic decision making
- To maintain quality procurement records and audit trails
- Contribute to forward planning of Procurement activity with management and internal stakeholders
 
Knowledge and Experience 
- Experience of Financial Services Procurement
- Ability to build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work in and navigate a complex organisation with sometimes conflicting priorities 
- Contract review and drafting experience
- A commercial approach to Procurement
- Broad indirect Procurement experience
- An all-round Procurement practitioner
