UK Finance has put together the COP26 and Beyond webinar series in collaboration with EY. It will be a series of four webinars that will be run over Spring 2021 and is focused on progress towards the objectives of Mark Carney’s COP26 private finance agenda and the steps that banking and financial firms need to take in devising their strategies for supporting the transition to a net zero economy.
The four webinars are standalone so can be attended independently, but our recommendation is to attend all that will be relevant to you and your organisation.

KEY LEARNINGS AND OUTCOMES:
► Equip board members with a foundational understanding of their responsibilities regarding climate-related financial risk and sustainability strategy, including upcoming key regulatory requirements on governance bodies
► Provide an overview of the governance frameworks being put in place in support of financial and risk management decisions taking climate change into account
► Set out the key elements including by reference to the priorities for the finance system as identified by Mark Carney, UN Special Envoy for Climate Action and Finance
► Provide an overview of key climate and sustainability-related reporting frameworks and reporting considerations
► Detail the regulatory outlook and requirements around key risk management analysis and tools (e.g., scenario and stress-testing)
► Assist firms to not only meet regulatory requirements but to help prepare them for the new low carbon economy
► Encourage banking and finance firms to develop and implement transition plans to adjust their businesses for a net zero world
