A Finance Assistant is an integral part of the team responsible for maintaining an efficient and accurate Finance function within a business.The work will include bookkeeping activities, working with sales & purchase ledgers and running calculations to ensure that records and payments are correct. A Finance Assistant will report to the Finance Director. Roles, Duties & Responsibilities Processing Daily Direct Debits Daily Introducer Pay-outs Various Bank Reconciliations, Postings & balancing accounts Verifying calculations working in the Accounts & loan book systems Covering monthly payroll workings Raising Sales Invoices & credit control Purchase Ledger - Receiving & processing all invoices, expense forms & related payments Cash Allocations, Handling & writing cheques & banking Maintaining spreadsheets Managing Petty cash reconciliations Processing month end reports Journal processing What we are looking for from you: Strong understanding of the workings in an office environment and working within a team Strong understanding of accountancy & bookkeeping Basic understanding of a finance company Previous accountancy experience Excellent interpersonal skills - to deal with customers, supplier, introducers & funders Very good organisational skills and ability to work towards deadlines, prioritise workload, and sometimes implement own processes Ability to work well under pressure around busy month ends

Our client are offering flexible part time working hours to suit you! Based on 22.5 hours per week. Key responsibilities of the role: Review customer accounts and chase payment of out-standing debt - using telephone, letter or e-mail. To investigate customer debit notes. Raise credit notes when valid or dispute with the customer if they are invalid. Chase payment of invalid deductions. Liaise with the account mangers to discuss problem accounts. Obtain copies of deductions from customers. Chase payment of customer invoices if deducted and are invalid.
