With Executive salary and bonus levels a hot topic of debate, Simon from Cherry Professional was invited into Andy Whittaker's breakfast show on BBC Radio Nottingham to comment.
This followed on from the news that Greg Michael has been appointed as 'Improvement Director' for the County Coucil and received a salary of £110k rather than the £92k expected.
Simon commented that salaries have remained relatively flat over the last two years and that this pay increase was an unusual move given economic conditions. However, he also added that high salaries can be justified if a candidate possesses in demand skills and can add value which can be measured.
