We are pleased to announce that Meriel Johnston has joined us to work in our finance division. Meriel has a first class degree in Psychology from Manchester and previously worked for Katie Baird (part of Angela Mortimer PLC) where she spent 3 years.

Meriel Johnston, our newest recruit at Cherry Professional.
Meriel had this to say about her recent move:
'I recently joined Cherry Professional, moving from an office support recruiter into the finance recruitment sector. I had not been looking for alternative employment, but after speaking with Cherry Professional about their business and the way they work I felt that it would be a strong career move. They came across as a company which were ambitious, progressive and most importantly had the drive to be known as the highest quality recruiter in the region. They were able to back this up with evidence from the results they had produced in only a short time; the testimonials from both major clients and candidates, the awards they had secured and their ISO 9001 accreditation. Since joining the company, I have seen that they do exactly what they say they do and provide an enthusiastic and supportive environment for all the consultants. Despite only being here a short time I am already confident I have definitely made the right move.'
Meriel joins shortly after Jo Rowley and is our second new recruit in the last two months. Jo heads up our office support and administration division which has extended our service offering to clients.

Meriel keeps busy outside of work with a wide range of hobbies and interests and explains:
'I have always had a keen interest in travel and have been fortunate to visit a range of different locations. I also have a particular interest in wildlife, so I have tried to incorporate this into my travel, including working on a diving project in Honduras and working at an animal rescue centre in Ecuador. In my spare time I like to play badminton and when possible go walking at weekends, particularly in the Lake District and Peak District. I have always been interested in music and have reached grade 8 level with the Cello. I also spend a lot of my time reading, watching movies and socialising.'
