On Thursday22 April 2010 we held our first breakfast seminar for HR professionals. The event was well supported with people in attendance from CIPD, Boots, ITT, 4energy, Imagelinx, Peopleshare, Nexor, Tenon and Fraser Brown, amongst others.
Guest speakers were Clive Day (Eversheds) who was interviewed on the latest legislation surrounding religious discrimination at work. This was followed by Rosie Garwood (Reflection Consulting) who gave some excellent insights and tips on getting the best out of your team.
Thank you to all who attended and to Clive and Rosie for your excellent presentations.
'An excellent course was made even better with the attendance of the Legal Expert (Clive Day of Eversheds) who not only answered questions on the day's topic (religious discrimination), but also willingly provided guidance on any subject posed by the audience' - Julie Newton, HR Officer, ITT Water & Wastewater UK Limited
If you have any questions concerning recruitment or would like to receive an invite to future seminars please call 0115 922 2240 or email mel@cherryprofessional.co.uk
Clive Day (Eversheds), Rosie Garwood (Reflection Consulting) & Simon Gray (Cherry Professional).
Danielle from Cherry Professional wrapped things up with the feedback form and gave attendees the opportunity say what they would like from their chosen recruiter, including:

We were also asked what is currently happening in the recruitment market?
There are more candidates chasing fewer jobs and as such there is increased competition amongst candidates. As there is less demand for candidates clients have a better chance of securing a close match to their 'candidate wish list' but this has the effect of slowing the market down. We're finding some recruitment decisions are being postponed until after the General Election.
At Cherry Professional we are always happy to answer any questions and to be flexible with our service offering to meet client requirements.
