Repeat business is a sign of quality, customer service and a job well done. That is why we are so proud to have placed Jon Atkin for the fourth time in his new role.

Jon is now the Financial Controller at Serif Europe Limited but our relationship with him began back in 1999 when Martin placed him at Capital One. Since then, Martin has placed Jon at Cattles and the Press Association and then, on learning of his plans for his next move, Martin placed him again.

Keeping in touch with our clients and working with them on a long term basis is a key facet of our business philosophy at Cherry Professional. It is also a key factor in why Jon has worked so closely with us (and Martin especially) over the years.

Jon explains, 'I've known Martin for over a decade now and he has always made the effort to keep in regular contact with me throughout my career. Within just a couple of weeks of me deciding to move from the Press Association, Martin had put me in touch with Serif. The rest is history.
I've tried a number of other agencies at other times and in other roles and none of them have come close to providing the personalised, professional service you'd expect when applying for senior finance roles.'

Jon's new role at Serif sees him responsible for the finance, purchasing & IT functions, with a total of 9 staff (3 direct reports, 6 indirect reports). Jon is responsible for the day to day running of the finance function (cash management, credit control, purchasing, production of the monthly management accounts, payroll etc) and is also involved in the usual annual events such as budgets, statutory accounts and tax planning.

When Jon isn't running his department he has been known to play the odd game of football and one particular game against Martin sticks in the mind.
'I once played football against Martin in a local friendly league. Martin played part of the game in goal during which I scored with a direct free kick - I'm still not sure if he let it in on purpose...rather than risk upsetting a regular customer!'
