Simon, Danielle and Martin formed Cherry Professional in 2008 having worked in financial recruitment for a combined total of over 25 years.
As a team they have an extensive network, professional accounting qualifications, unrivalled knowledge of the industry and the ability to add value at all stages of the recruitment process.

Having qualified as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG in Nottingham, Simon moved into financial recruitment in 1999. His finance background and knowing what it is like to be a candidate has helped him understand client requirements and helping his candidates make important career decisions. Simon considers communication to be the most important factor in the recruitment process, and does everything he can to keep his clients and candidates completely up to speed. Simon is passionate about Martial Arts and completed the world famous Aikido Senshusei course in Japan. He has a passion for business and enjoys the Apprentice and Dragons' Den.

After graduating, Danielle spent 18 months travelling the world, spending much of that time living and working in Australia. She began her career in financial recruitment in 2000, with one of the leading consultancies in the area. Since then, Danielle has become a respected figure in the Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire market recruiting temporary/interim, contract and permanent positions. She has recruited for a wide variety of businesses from global to local, in both the private and public sector.
Danielle has a down to earth approach and always goes out of her way to help and advise.
In her spare time Danielle adores cooking and keeps herself fit; although the two sometimes don't go too well together! You can find her at Wilford Karate School several times a week where she teaches and trains, and as a member of the British squad she won several titles, including a European gold medal.

Having worked in finance for 11 years as a Management Accountant for the likes of British Aerospace and The Derbyshire Building Society, Martin made the leap into financial recruitment in 1996 and has become one of the most networked, recognisable names in the East Midlands.
His philosophy is to be totally honest, keep things simple and treat both candidates and clients with great respect to build up personal trust and a great rapport.
Martin plays tennis and enjoys watching the cricket at Trent Bridge. He is also a keen Notts County fan and can be found most Saturdays at 4.50 p.m. crying his eyes out!
